In a dazzling ceremony held in Mumbai, India, on March 9, 2024, Krystyna Pyszková from the Czech Republic was crowned Miss World 2024, triumphing over 111 contestants from around the world. This prestigious event showcased talents across multiple domains, including fitness, beauty, talent, and public speaking. The initial phase of the competition saw several contestants securing fast track spots into the top 40, quickly narrowing down to the top 12, then the final eight, who then faced the classic question-and-answer round. This segment included discussions on pertinent topics from the recent G20 Summit, with a focus on women’s health issues.

Pyszková, a 23-year-old law student and model, passionately spoke about the need to destigmatize menstruation, advocating for a society where periods are not considered a taboo. Her views on embracing womanhood and the natural processes associated with it resonated with the audience and judges alike. The competition's final round had the remaining four contestants present their philanthropic platforms to a panel from "Shark Tank India," each representing a different world region: Africa, the Americas and Caribbean, Asia and Oceania, and Europe.

Pyszková's victory over the other finalists, namely Yasmina Zeytoun of Lebanon, Aché Abrahams of Trinidad and Tobago, and Lesego Chombo of Botswana, marked her as a standout contestant. These women, along with Jessica Gagen of England, were named the pageant’s “continental winners.”

Miss World, established in 1951 in the United Kingdom, is renowned as the oldest international beauty pageant. It has evolved significantly from its origins as a "bikini contest" to a platform for women from across the globe to showcase their talents, intelligence, and humanitarian goals. Among its most famous winners are Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (1994) and Priyanka Chopra Jonas (2000), both of whom have achieved international fame in the entertainment industry.

The event also celebrated the contributions of previous Miss World winners and highlighted the ongoing humanitarian efforts associated with the pageant. Krystyna Pyszková's crowning as Miss World 2024 not only represents her personal achievement but also emphasizes the pageant's enduring legacy and its role in empowering women globally.
